The Central Bank Museum is pleased to present "Life is a Celebration" - A virtual exhibition of selected works from the Central Bank's Art Collection.
Our collection is made up of many works that deal with the theme of celebration. Whether it is a religious observance or the revelry of carnival, Trinidad and Tobago is in celebration mode all year round. And we take inspiration from the sights, sounds and smells of our favourite festivities to help us get through the more sombre times of the year. The works shown in this virtual exhibition, showcase the work of several local artists who use various media and styles to express this theme.
Some of the festivities highlighted in this selection of works from the collection include Hosay, Carnival, Kartik and activities such as Bele dancing, Steelpan playing and Limbo.
