Overview of Exhibition
Trinidad and Tobago: Our Journey to Independence was Central Bank's Independence gift to the nation. The exhibition commemorated 50 years of Independence and was divided into two sections: Section 1 told the story of the Independence journey and Section 2 paid tribute to the First Prime Minister of our country, Dr. Eric Eustace Williams.
The exhibition ran from May 16th to June 22, 2012 and charted the historical development of Trinidad and Tobago from Independence to the current time, featuring the leaders who helped the country reach this milestone. It was also a unique educational experience and every effort was made to make it as exciting and diverse as possible with a wide range of exhibits including, electronic displays and photographs.
