
The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago wishes to advise that from November 2, 2020 new polymer notes in the denominations of $5, $10 and $20 will become legal tender in Trinidad and Tobago. The design of the new polymer notes is consistent with the $100 polymer note that was issued in December 2019 and has similar features such as the polymer substrate, national flag, tactile (raised dots) features to help the visually impaired and enhanced security components. The existing $5, $10 and $20 cotton-based notes will continue to be legal tender until further notice.
